Daily Happenings (30/05/13)

Another quiet-ish day.

Mark Bridger Convicted
Though it isn't surprising in the least, Mark Bridger has been charged with the murder of April. Why is this such a big deal? Because everywhere you look there's an in-depth biography into the life of this man. Evrything a similar monster would need to draw inspiration from.
This is a point I will raise over and over again, but the less we know about murderers and their history, the less chance there is of people following in their footsteps, inspired or not.
The media knows what gets people ticking, hence it decides to go to lengths to bring you as much knowledge about murderers and sadists as possible, even knowing that somewhere out there there ar people with similar tendencies who just need that little push to become monsters of their own.
I'm glad the conviction went through, but the less we know about the man the better.

Spelling Errors Provoke (and Thwart) Make-Shift Bomb Attack
No one likes bad grammar. Probably why no one likes the young people of today. One man however, so riled up by a misspelt sign on a local teaching license authority, decided to make a bomb to correct the sign once and for all.
The outcome? The bomb didn't work because the instructions for the pressurised cooker he was using were also apparently riddled with errors. Police later reported that the bomb was harmless.
A step too far? Perhaps. But the man had every right to be upset. He just failed to undertake the proper steps to getting the problem solved.
